The project restored faith in mutual human contact, creating an intimate bond between a popular actor and a listener that has never been possible before.

Spring came differently - Combining virtual and physical into a live national brodcast show

Why does your project deserve the Awards?
We managed to unite the entire country during the corona crises and bring together different partners to make this project happen (the 1000 iPads used were donated for the concert by schools and the national airline whose planes could not fly at the time). We used technology in a way that engineers declined being possible. We challenged technology for communication purposes. We provided ground for prime minister to speak to the nation. We did set the tone for the whole country for coming months.

We teamed up with a Bolt team, booked Tallinn's best creative event centre and set up a studio there. We had 3 stages — one for speakers, one for panel discussions, and one for a band. Oh, and a fully kitted-out kitchen corner!
The efforts that went into delivering the seamlessly produced, day-long conference were immense. We had 4 cameras rolling continuously and a production team of 40 people making sure that the camerawork, lights, sound, screen graphics and everything else could be spot-on

The idea was simple, but it was challenging too because the content preparation time for the next week was quite short. Each minute of ONLINE was very important as it should not exceed airtime. With less than 24 hwe created solution for giving practical support for all home schooling families (all pupils in Estonia). A new Journalist e-arena was bron. It was the first online conference to be organised on such a large scale. It demonstrated how different technical means can be used to bring tens of thousands of people together and give them information in an interactive and innovative manner.
